In addition to following directions there are other steps to prevent harm to your pet. One way is to never submerge or dip your animal in a liquid product. Instead, pour the liquid over the body and use a sponge to apply it to all areas. Never allow any product to enter their mouth. A spray should never be applied directly on your pet. Instead, it should be applied to their grooming brush and brushed gently over their coat.

Another tip is if your pets are outdoors most of the time, it will be necessary to treat the entire yard to get rid of fleas. Killing the eggs and larvae is important to flea and tick prevention. In addition, using a product on a regular basis will also help keep the pest away.
